The music genre I have chosen for my magazine, is a hybrid genre of mainly alternative music but also some current chart music so my magazine will include a huge range of artists making it appeal to a very broad readership. As my target audience is young people (around 16-19) of both genders, artists I include will be very current, popular stars, but also my magazine will introduce up-and-coming artists which will appeal to the reformer consumer type, many of which will fall into the age category I have chosen to aim my work at.
I have included a selection of music videos, of the sorts of artists, bands and genre of music I will include in my magazine.
Extremely popular female artists like Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding who are both attractive to males and aspirable for females.
Well known bands in the alternative genre such as Artic Monkeys and Kings of Leon will appeal to all members of my target audience.
Including up-and-coming artists such as Lorde and the band Haim will keep my readers informed about new things in music and appeal to reformer or explorer consumer types.
Finally, One Republic, who are currently the UK number 1, and One Direction are examples of chart music I will include as this will appeal to an extremely wide audience, broadening the readership of my magazine massively, and will keep people up to date with what is popular at the moment.
